Therapy Services

Imago Relationship theory, psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, family systems theory, humanist theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Spirituality, Existentialism, Phenomenology, NonViolent Communication and Political Sociology (my Stanford major) influence my style as a therapist. I find it useful to draw on different therapy models and teachings to best tailor my work with you to fit your needs.

I offer equine facilitated psychotherapy to clients who benefit from “horse therapy.” I have two therapy horses, Trabia (a grandson of the late great Secretariat) and Zumi, a cute little Arabian.

When working with relationships, my approach as a therapist and facilitator is that there is no right person and no wrong person in either conflicts of need or conflicts of value. In an Imago Dialogical Structure, I assist you to slow things down and use listening skills to track, validate and express empathy for the other. A shift of understanding occurs, which opens the door to growth and healing. As a Certified Advanced Imago clinician, I will help you build a conscious, intentional relationship.

My Purpose: to provide you with a safe space to work on your goals, in a manner that serves your best interests as you define them. I work to facilitate you to find your way; I refrain from offering advice or telling you what I think is best for you, but rather will support and encourage you to find what is alive in you that helps you find your way. I will help you find your voice. Regardless of your situation and problem, I believe there is always a way to make positive change.

My Method: I provide 50 to 60 minute sessions (as per which insurance you have) to individuals, and 60 to 90 minute sessions to couples. I initially do 90 minute sessions with couples that may evolve into 60 minute sessions. I accept several insurances and with private pay I work on a sliding scale. I will discuss fees with you prior to our first session. (Please see my fees page).
